FAQ
Both our Polyimide (Kapton) tapes and Polyester (PET) tapes are paired exclusively with high-performance silicone pressure-sensitive adhesive to ensure zero residue after extreme heat exposure. Standard total thickness ranges from 0.035mm to 0.175mm, depending on insulation and die-cutting requirements.
| Tape Category | Backing Material | Adhesive System | Available Thickness Range |
|---|---|---|---|
| Polyimide Tape | Polyimide Film(Amber/Black) | Silicone Adhesive | 0.035mm – 0.150mm |
| Polyester Tape | PET Film (Green/Blue/Clear/Red/Yellow) | Silicone Adhesive | 0.035mm – 0.175mm |
Our Hot Fix Transfer Tape is specially engineered with a thermo-stable acrylic adhesive system. It is available in four standard precision thicknesses: 0.23mm, 0.25mm, 0.31mm, and 0.38mm. The acrylic adhesive provides strong initial tack to keep rhinestones and transfer motifs aligned under heavy heat-press pressure.
Choose Silicone Adhesive (featured on our 0.035mm–0.175mm Polyimide & PET tapes) if your process involves high baking temperatures (up to 200°C–260°C), electroplating chemicals, or requires clean peeling without ghosting. Choose Acrylic Adhesive (featured on our 0.23mm–0.38mm Hot Fix tapes) for cost-effective, high-tack bonding on textiles and heat transfer applications.
